The 1313S 13" x 13" x 1.5" powder painted super heavy steel base weighing 73 pounds forms the foundation of the stand. The base is provided with two handles to facilitate lifting its massive weight. This base was designed to provide the maximum stability and some measure of portability.

The cross blocks have bronze bushings cast into them to provide a lubricious surface upon which the vertical post can slide. The vertical post is made of solid stainless steel. All stands include Old School's Quick release safety clamp. The horizontal arms are made of hardened stainless steel linear shafting and glide along linear ball bearings. The horizontal arm is designed to accept the industry standard 5/8" "Bonder Pin" dowel from the top, bottom or end on. If the microscope does not have a 5/8" dowel choose one of Old School's tilting or straight adapters. The horizontal arm may be rotated 360 degrees around the vertical post.
