Precise, effortless linear ball bearing movement with
the 1010S 10" x 10" x 1.25" powder painted Heavy steel
base weighting 35 pounds. This stands are approximately 15 lbs. heavier
than the Standard base models. The two parallel hardened stainless steel
shafts provide excellent horizontal stability
and stiffness.
The cross blocks have bronze bushings cast into them to provide a lubricious surface upon which the vertical post can slide. The vertical post is made of solid stainless steel. All stands include Old School's Quick release safety clamp. The horizontal arms are made of hardened stainless steel linear shafting and glide along linear ball bearings. The horizontal arm is designed to accept the industry standard 5/8" "Bonder Pin" dowel from the top, bottom or end on. If the microscope does not have a 5/8" dowel choose one of Old School's tilting or straight adapters. The horizontal arm may be rotated 360 degrees around the vertical post. |
